ReplyDeleteMy favorite toy was a teddy bear, a white one. It still lives with me, sitting on a chair next to my bed watching over my sleep <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! My favorite stuffed toy was a sock monkey named Mr. Longjohns. He was a little different than the monkeys made today. He was totally made from just one sock, making him long and skinny. :)

ReplyDeleteI had a stuffed cow that moooooo-d. I carried it everywhere! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite stuffed is a stuffed bear called Pippo (I'm italian). My sister had a bunny similar to this pattern called Elda and she used it so much that the furry part of the bunny went away and the stuffing was only held together by the thin net that keeps the fur together. I hope that by having a pattern of the bunny it could make another child happy :)
ReplyDeleteI had a knit blankies that I took everywhere. I eventually wore it to pieces. I still have a ball of strings in a Ziploc in my closet.
ReplyDeleteOK...I didn't have one but I did have a doll before my aunt Bea's dog (snowball) chewed it to shreds. Maybe that why I didn't have a favorite. Oh well...eventually came Raggedy Ann & Andy. I had the twins and they were about 6 in. each. Loved those dolls. I really wanted a sock monkey...I'm going to make one some time, mmmm????when not sure
ReplyDeleteI don't remember having a favorite but I still have a little raggy doll 44 years later!
ReplyDeleteA doll....I named Natalie.

I had a Peter Rabbit toy that I absolutely loved. I also had a baby doll that I took everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteI got a very large stuffed black bear for my ninth birthday. At the time my youngest brother was about two, and he like to chew on its nose until it wasn't nice anymore. Then, about six years later, my newest little brother was about two, and he chewed on its nose too. By then I could sew, so I fixed it. I still have that bear, and I now have a brand new baby brother, and I wonder if he'll chew on it too :)
ReplyDeleteI had a little white dog named Snowball. I had to have him to go to sleep at night and even took him to college with me.

ReplyDeleteI had several stuffed toys I loved as a child. A few I still have. But my most loved one was my white Teddy. He was well played with & I sewed all his ripped seams myself & restuffed his head. An unknown hole was known after a washing washed a bit of his stuffing out. Haha.
ReplyDeleteThat would have to be my blue teddy bear. I love the color blue and to have this blue teddy bear is just awesome. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveaway and giving us this opportunity to try and win your pattern. Wishing you Happy Holidays.

ReplyDeleteI didn't really do stuffed toys as a kid - we moved so much, nothing was constant. However, I got a teddy bear, Gibson, from a friend during my freshman year of high school (1985), and he is still in the bed with me today!
ReplyDeleteMine was a pink poodle with wide eyes and large black lashes. We used to have to open her up and take the stuffing out of her. Wash her up and surgically repair her.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your stories of favorite softies, how sweet! You've drawn up memories of the "blankie" that I slept with for many years. It frayed to bits and I still remember how my mom sewed pieces of it back on for me and how grateful I was for that little act of love.
